Captiva Island RVing
What are Full Hookups?
Recognized as one of America's most romantic destinations, Captiva Island
draws visitors with its quiet ambiance and spectacular white-sand beaches. Nearby

Sanibel Island is the closest place for
those looking to camp. Also
accessible
by boat
from the island is Cayo Costa State Park, a pristine undeveloped island that offers both primitive tent camping and rustic cabins. While Captiva has no campgrounds, the island's mixture of lodging choices provides something for everyone - sprawling resorts, intimate bed-and-breakfasts, waterfront hotels, and house rentals. With sugar-white sand beaches and a tropical world to explore, Captiva continues to draw holiday travelers looking for a quiet place in the sun.
Before camping became as popular as it is now,
full hookups were usually limited to electric and
water, and in some case a sewer connection. Today, in upscale RV resorts, a number of additional services are

available at each campsite. Phone service, internetconnection, cable TV and
satellite dish access
are only some of the offerings. It's prudent to inquire about what's available with full hookups when
you make your campground reservation. You
may be surprised
at what's available.

who came to Captiva in 1914 and 1916 to trophy fish. For the more adventurous, canoes and kayaks can be rented from the 'Tween Waters Marina. Two canoe trails on nearby Buck Key can easily be explored or with a little more paddling, the wonders of Ding
